Over the space of one month, I went from owning absolutely zero products from Kevyn Aucoin – To owning three and filling up my online baskets with more. It was kind of like a snowball effect when I tried the Sensual Skin Enhancer. I’ve been so hooked on the brand recently and I’ve used these staples religiously the past few weeks. If you haven’t delved into Kevyn Aucoin yet or even if you’re just looking to try a few more things – Here’s what needs to make it on your beauty shopping list this Autumn…
- The Sensual Skin Enhancer // A cult favourite that I’m very late to the party on trying! This small (but mighty) tub of magic has transformed my base makeup for the better and It’s my go-to concealer & foundation all in one. The SSE has unrivalled coverage than anything I’ve tried before, It’s so incredibly pigmented you really need the smallest amount to give you glowing & perfected base. You can really play around and have complete control over how you use it – Conceal, correct, sheer & subtle or full on glam – the Sensual Skin Enhancer has your back. Even though It appears quite thick and the pigmentation can be a little scary at first – It’s very easy to blend out and always gives me an even & flawless (if I may say so!) base. I like to apply a hydrating beauty mist or primer first (Ole Henriksen Nuture Me Facial Water or Dior Glow Maximiser Primer – discontinued) and then stipple or buff the formula out – depending on the coverage I need. It may be pricey for the size of the tub but trust me it’s WORTH IT & It will last such a long time because of the little amount needed.
- Faded Heather Matte Shadow Single // The perfect crease colour for every autumn/winter eye look. Faded Heather is a shade that compliments a lot of tones – It adds a unique twist to a plain ol’ brown smokey eye or harmoniously works with reds & pinks. Or even looks gorgeous all on it’s own. It’s refreshingly NOT intensely pigmented, I’ve been so used to high-impact colours recently and they can be really tricky to apply well and full of fallout. Faded Heather is truly buildable, so you can just keep adding and adding with complete ease. Perfect for those dark mornings when your half asleep. It’s still really smooth, so even though the colour is sheerer it looks effortlessly blended in a pinch of the time.
- The Expert Lip Color Ariabelle // I adore cool toned lipsticks in Autumn & Winter, It’s just my favourite time to wear a blue based red or an icy hued fuchsia. Ariabelle is a beautiful frosty bubblegum pink that’s been just my cup of tea lately. It’s reminiscent of a MAC Cremesheen kind of formula with just a bit less slip and way more staying power. The ELC formula is gorgeous, delivering opaque colour that’s incredibly hydrating and keeps my lips plump, while being on the right side of glossy. It’s really ideal for the colder months ahead, helping to keep your lips in good condition vs super drying liquid lipsticks.
